My new obsession - Harry freaking Potter. I blew through 3 books like 5 days. I took a break before starting the fourth book to watch the first Harry Potter. I was excited to see Hogwarts "come to life." It was just ok. I wonder if the movie would be better if I didn't read the book. Not that I care, I always like to read the book first if it came first.
Harry Potter is like crack, or at least what I've heard about crack I guess.

The movie is actually better if you haven't read the book. I saw the first four movies, then started reading the books. Because the movies had already provided visuals for me, that's what I pictured when I read the books, and the books weren't ruined because there is so much more info in the books than the movies. They're all still good though...keep going (with both books and movies), although I have to say, the books will always be better than the movies.

ReplyDeletewell yes and no I guess. I liked the movies after the first two - they're ok but I think they are kinda dull. Prisoner of Azkaban is better.
